Join us for a 9-day adventure during some of the most exciting stages of the 2014 Tour de France as it enters the mountains and where Le Tour for the main contenders really begins!

Our Tour de France ‘Alsace to French Alpes Tour’ has been carefully designed to take in 5 stages of the Tour, with other days spent taking in many quiet back-roads and wonderful scenery that only the French Alpes and Switzerland can offer.

This tour offers something for everyone and caters for all riding abilities including those who simply want to enjoy Le Tour and beautiful France and Switzerland off the bike.

We will experience the classic climbs surrounding Lake Annecy, arguably the most beautiful lake in Europe, stay in an 11th century chateau on Lake Geneva, spend time soaking up the beautiful city of Basel located at the junction of 3 countries and conquer the most famous cycling climb in world, Alpe d’Huez! All the while enjoying being a part of Le Tour de France action.

After arriving in Basel we will see the 3 thrilling stages and get things underway, riding through this stunning region of France, in particular the Vosge Mountains. Not as high as the French Alpes, this is the perfect way to warm up for what lies ahead! We'll also take a gander into Germany too, as we are so close.

We then head further south, staying in one of our favourite places in Europe and spending a couple of wonderful days in the Jurancon wine region, taking in many a quiet back road and sampling some of Frances finest cuisine.

Lake Annecy becomes our third destination, our hotel situated directly on this most pristine lake, and with rides designed for everyone in this cycling playground, you are never going to want to leave.

Finally some may say we have saved the best until last, riding the mighty Alpe d’Huez and watching Le Tour enter the high mountains – what a way to end the holiday.  Even just being a spectator on this mountain is memorable.

We pride ourselves in offering much more then the norm, all the while delivering the very best service in the industry.

  • A trusted name in the business for many years, we are not a large impersonal tour operator. Instead we specialise in intimate and completely flexible high end cycling holidays, ensuring that the level of personalised service you receive is second to none. We take complete care of you, your riding and your wishes.

  • Choosing to limit the Tour de France experience each year to only two tours (this year Alsace to Alpes or Pyrenees to Paris), this guarantees that you are our number one priority. Including being hosted by the owners of procyclingtours.com, Steve and Michelle, we have a total of 5 experienced staff for looking after only 18 clients. (thats one guide for every 3 - 4 guests)

  • You are always well supported and have peace of mind knowing your guides speak the language (French and German on this tour), have current first aid training, are either former pro riders, former professional soigneurs, massage therapist, sports coaches, bike mechanics or have been in the industry for many years.

  • We travel in modern 9 seater vans with free Wi-Fi, DVD players and movies, portable shower and change room on board. This nimble mode of transport ensures we get in closer to the action and also allows for full van support up small mountain passes and makes sure those who don’t ride, don’t miss out on breathtaking and unforgettable moments too.

  • Our vehicles also carry a full tool kit, spares, quality name energy gels, bars and powder, water, soft drinks, lollies (and sometimes even an ice cold beer!).

With numbers strictly limited to 18 guests, don’t leave your decision to long!
