We are now taking bookings for our 2016 Tour Here, which is almost full!

Our ever popular Lakes Alpes & Dolomites Tour returns for 2015.  A holiday like none other set in 3 classic regions of Northern Italy. With the the beauty and serenity of the Italian Lakes District, the awe inspiring Dolomites and the breathtaking Alpes, including the mighty Passo dello Stelvio (2760m), this tour will once again sell out.

"Thank you so much for all the obvious hard work that you put in behind the scenes. The hotels were georgeous.... and I can't thank you enough for not giving up on me on the Stelvio. I think most people would have had me van trasfer part way up Stelvio. I really think you went above and beyond and thank you for believing in me when I didn't have the energy to believe in myself, so thank you for your patience and encouragement.  We really enjoyed the tour - everyone we know now knows who you are and what you do!"  2014 Lakes, Alpes & Dolomites - Stephanie, South Australia

As for the cycling, no stone has been left unturned on this tour, capturing the very best riding routes in Northern Italy and with all the professional support you would expect from the procyclingtours team, you will experience what it's like living as a pro (without the racing!) as you ride on the stunning lakes of Lago Maggiore, Lugano and Como, climb the Stelvio and Passo Gavia, not to mention the famous Sella Ronda Loop in the heart of the Dolomites.

And as with all of our tours, our Lakes, Alpes & Dolomites Tour is extremely well suited for non riding partners, or for those who just ride a little, with ample activities and things to do on offer, including time spent in the chic city of Bolzano, walks through the Dolomites, lakeside villages to explore, cable car rides and much more. Most days we are able to dedicate a vehicle to non riding activities, while the others are out in the morning peddling away.

You will be treated like a pro by the pros, that's our difference

Your tour experience will be intimate and relaxed. Limiting our group size to 14 guests and using mini vans ensures that everyone in the group has their individual desires taken care of. It also ensures you get full support all the way up to the top of the climb, not just at the bottom.

You will be staying in superior accommodation. This may include deluxe hotels, chalets, boutique hotels etc. The best staff in the industry will pamper you as we have one of the highest ratios in the industry with 1 guide for every 3 to 4 guests; this will include the owners of procyclingtours - for that extra level of service. Ample and delicious buffet breakfasts each morning, most dinners all of which are three course (or more) regional cuisine including wines.

We will again be offering our high-end BMC road bikes for rent at a discounted price. Though our exclusive relationship with SRM you can even choose to try out one of these great training systems out on your hire bike.

You and your bike will be taken care on all transfers in our executive mini vans and custom built, professional bike racks. The racks are mounted on the roof of the vans to ensure your bike isn’t being bounced around.  Our new vans are equipped with free WIFI, DVD players, portable showers, change rooms and many other bonus comforts.

Your bike will also be taken care of by our expert tour mechanic and team from the moment you finish your ride, we look after your machine, whether its hired or not. A clean and once over each day ensure your bike is also given the pro treatment on tour.

All you need to worry about is riding and enjoying your holiday, we take care of the rest.

The riding what to expect

Each day comprises of a several ride options of varying distances and catering for all abilities. Every ride is fully supported with mechanic, experienced bi-lingual ride guides and full van support. You will be fuelled up on your ride with our on-board snacks, energy bars, gels, fruits and cold drinks.

Those that are looking to get some more out of their cycling, owner Steve, cycling coach and former pro-rider and UCI pro-team manager, will also provide complimentary, personalised advice and cycling coaching throughout the tour, including ways to improve your descending skills, climbing technique, nutrition advice and much more.

We encourage you to ride at your own pace and cater for all abilities from the super fit right through to the weekend warrior. We are able to offer this level of flexibility due to the high number of guides on tour, and our our ability to ensure every individual is well catered for, no one is ever left behind! Our support vehicles are always close by.

We welcome non-riders

If you only want to ride a little or not at all, we embrace non riders - after all, the Dolomites and surrounds is an amazing 'once in a lifetime' experience for all. For those non riding partners, there will be time to explore pretty villages, local walks, markets and indeed the beauty of the Italian Dolomites! Simply enjoy the pleasures of a holiday – perhaps lazing by the pool or a long lunch.  Some days you will have your own chaperone and van to explore the region. Each year we have many returning non-riders and those who come along the first time always have their expectations exceeded  - our philosophy is its just as much their holiday as it is the riders.
